About me

Hello there and thank you for stopping by my blog!

My name is James Jones. I am a 20-something student, currently studying in Holland. So far I have led a pretty interesting life. I've lived in Paris and Rotterdam for a while. Then I started studying in Groningen (Holland). But halfway through I decided I needed a change, and started traveling around Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia. Now after one and a half year I am back home to finish my studies. I have also decided I needed to grow up and become a slightly more responsible adult. Part of this adulthood thing is paying of my debts.

I accumulated a very big debt during my first five student years. Now that I've recently continued studying, I want to do this without another loan. That means I will have to work like a maniac to be able to pay for books and my tuition fee, as well as my apartment and food and groceries.

The other loans I have are from family members. My brothers, my mom and my dad helped me out several times in the last year and a half. At the time it didn't seem like big loans, but looking at them all together now they are quite sizeable.

My goal for the next 2 years is to pass all my exams in one go, and to get my masters degree within 2 years. And to pay of as much debt as is possible. Follow my journey on this blog. I will try and write an update once every week, and a big monthly overview of income, expenses and debt payments.
